Lemon Tree Cottage

The cottage is great - just the right size for a couple. The village is quaint and quiet. We have enjoyed our holiday and now want to stay longer! Thankyou for a wonderful time.

We have had a wonderful holiday here at Lemon Tree Cottage, everything has been perfect for us. We have seen a fantastic array of wildlife too. The pool has been a delight on hot days. This is our first time to Crete and one we will never forget. We hope everyone enjoys their stay as much as we did.

A peaceful holiday in a lovely secluded cottage - a very pretty area of Crete. Thanks for the care and attention during our holiday.

Total chill out zone despite the heat - All I imagined it to be. So relaxing and like the Garden of Eden with all the trees. Enjoyed our trips to the beach at Almyrida and the pool even more. This was real Crete not tourist Crete.

Lemon Tree Cottage has been a wonderful place for us to spend our honeymoon. It’s a magical, peaceful place which means it guarantees you the most gentle and relaxing holidays you could possibly imagine. You won’t want to leave either. You have a beautiful place here and we will always treasure our memories of it.

Well what can we say that hasn’t already been said - how on earth do you get back into “work” mode after 2 weeks of complete relaxation.

If you want peace, quiet and tranquility for your holiday experience then you have just hit the jackpot. Our stay at Lemon Tree Cottage has been brilliant and we would love to revisit.

Lemon Tree Cottage is so relaxing, really quiet and not too far away from the hustle and bustle of Chania - we would certainly return because there is lots we didn’t get to see.

It’s really difficult to drag yourself away from this “garden of eden” – I recommend long leisurely breakfasts, followed by a swim, then more of the same.  Cottage has been lovely – worth keeping the door shut during the day as temperature stays cool inside.  Pool heavenly, we’ve had a terrific week. Spent a lovely hot week here in The Lemon Tree Cottage.  Mixed our days between beach and the pool.  A lovely relaxing week and a charming cottage.  We will miss it next week when it’s back to work.  Robert & Diana.

We have had a wonderful 5 days in the Lavender Cottage  The cottage has everything you could possibly want.  We have chilled out and recharged the batteries as well as discovering all the lovely villages.  Wait til our family and friends see our photos they will be so envious.  Many thanks.  Cherie and Kevin, New Zealand.

It was soooo nice – what else can we say?  We had a fantastic time with great weather, nice beaches and new friends from Crete.  We’ll definitely be back soon Thank you for everything – The Four Germans for Freiburg and Nuremberg. The cottage is lovely and the view is amazing!!!

Mandarin Cottage

We felt extremely privileged to be the first occupants of Mandarin Cottage. You have created a truly wonderful, relaxing retreat.

We loved all the attention to detail and the manner in which you have created a mini Venetian Mansion in which a couple can enjoy modern luxuries within a period property.

We adored our spacious airy bedroom looking out over mountain vies from the four poster bed.

It is proving difficult to leave “our” Mandarin Cottage home. We hope to return in later Winter – early Spring to experience another facet of this rural idyll. Thank you – John and Victoria. - Wales

Crete has so much to offer – not that we saw much of it as it was so lovely to just be here. We can recommend the sausages from the butcher in Kalives and a trip to Chania is a must. Other than that it has been the perfect place to relax and unwind. Naomi & Steve - Scotland

We feel sorry to leave the Mandarin Cottage as it has been like and “Oasis” in a wonderful Crete. The service and the hospitality has been extraordinary and we felt treated as being part of a family. We have spent a blissful week here, simply relaxing and enjoying the warmth of the Cretan spring – a far cry from the cold we left behind.  This has been a perfect place to escape to; the cottage is beautiful and the location so peaceful that it was hard to muster the energy to leave it.  As a result we’ve seen only the immediate surroundings, driving through the tiny villages with stunning gardens.  The views from both the cottage and the drives have been amazing – spring flowers and snow capped mountains.  So, we’ll be back to see the “proper” sights and looking forward to it already.  With many thanks – Debbie and Jim.

This has been a wonderful vacation spot for us.  We loved exploring the countryside on this side of the island – we wish we had booked to stay longer….

The cottage is beautiful and so comfortable – what a perfect location – the views of the mountains in the morning are so peaceful , we enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony.  We will spread the word of this great place…. Mulberry Cottage

Many thanks to the owners of Mulberry Cottage for letting us rent this beautiful and tastefully restored old house. We very much appreciated the tranquillity, the cool floors, the pool and the dinners under the vines.

Thank you for all of your help. Mulberry Cottage proved to be tasteful, comfortable and beautiful which offered a week of tranquillity. We equally love Crete and the people and we are only sorry that the trip was so short.

Four very interesting days in your well and lovely designed home – will stay in our memory forever. We felt comfortable sitting at the fireplace admired every detail of the interior. We wish you a happy 2008 and guests who will appreciate your home as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The garden herbs were perfect for our cooking – we will be back!!

Thank you – your villa is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated. The facilities are great and we found shade all day if we wanted. The wireless was very useful and proved reliable. Vamos is a very pretty village with a good selection of shops and restaurants. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and return home relaxed, overweight and happy.

A lovely 2 days we wish it could have been for longer.  A beautifully restored villa in a very relaxing area with some fabulous coves and beaches within easy driving.  We will definitely be back.  Liz, Keith & David Glos.

The 10 days at Mulberry Cottage seem to have flown by.  Days spent exploring the Hania region and evening spent by the pool cooling off with a raki or ouzo.  Thanks to Amanda & Vanessa for ensuring that Mulberry Cottage was very well equipped.  It is nice when expectations raised by the pictures and descriptions on the website are exceeded.  Thanks to you both.  David & Mel Antigua Laurie & Pam Cambridge.

All really enjoyed our stay at Mulberry Cottage.  Pool was a godsend to keep cool as were the plentiful shady areas.  Wireless was a result for those of us saddos interested in the Ashes results.   Mulberry cottage wonderful, crete is brilliant!  Loads to do and see – too much for two weeks we’ll have to come back.  We’ve had a fab time and hope you do too!  Idyllic place to stay in all respects.  Andy, Alex, Christine, Dave, Jack, Hamish.

Many thanks for a hugely enjoyable and relaxing fortnight in a beautiful location.  We spent a large amount of the time at the cottage – on the terrace or by the pool – which probably says it all. We have had a lovely stay in your comfortable villa.  Many lovely places all within reasonable driving distances.  The flowers in your garden and the figs and grapes are a delight.  Many a relaxing hour spent reading under the vines.  Thankyou.  The Stevensons.

Best of all:  the house, we loved the pool and every nook and corner.  Fascinating building and one senses the original buildings – rectangular and tall like a temple with ornate window and a doorway was an important building in a time , long ago.
